Research Background:
TB-500 is a synthetic peptide related to thymosin beta-4 (Tβ4), a naturally occurring 43-amino-acid protein expressed in most human cell types. Tβ4 is a primary actin-sequestering molecule, and its central actin-binding motif has been the focus of much of the related research. Preclinical and in vitro studies have investigated its role in actin dynamics, cell migration, angiogenesis, and tissue remodeling pathways. Laboratory studies have examined its effects on endothelial cell behavior, keratinocyte migration, and cellular responses to injury in cell culture and animal models. This compound is supplied exclusively for research purposes and is not approved for human use by the FDA.
