Research Background:
Epitalon (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) is a synthetic tetrapeptide developed from the amino acid composition of epithalamin, a polypeptide preparation derived from the pineal gland. Preclinical and in vitro research has investigated its role in regulating telomerase activity and telomere length in cultured cells. Laboratory studies have also examined its effects on pineal function and melatonin secretion, as well as its activity in animal models of cellular and organismal aging biomarkers. This compound is supplied exclusively for research purposes and is not approved for human use by the FDA.
